It is a maintenance cut, not a feature dump: ZHA bumps to 2.2.2 / zha-quirks 2.2.2, go2rtc redacts credentials from server logs, ESPHome setup no longer fails when Supervisor is still warming up, Nest climate recomputes supported features from live traits, Tesla Fleet bounds the first vehicle refresh with a timeout, and frontend moves to 20260826.7. Also in the bag: local_todo ICS CRLF repair, remote_calendar timeout/encoding polish, Reolink/Roborock/ViCare/Enphase dependency bumps, and a pile of smaller integration fixes (Vizio auth, webOS source clear, Openhome polling).
Practical takeaway: if you held on 2026.9.1 for the quiet weekend, .2 is the build to take on a weekday morning — especially ZHA and go2rtc operators.

Highlights for builders: better multi-interface network::is_connected(), BLE tracker re-registers GATT clients after disable/enable, Wi-Fi drops a scan instead of aborting when results cannot be allocated, path resolution against the declaring YAML file, and Device Builder bumps through 1.14.9. Stable remains 2026.8.2.
Why it matters: Friday’s brief still said b3 — beta chase moved overnight.
Philips Hue Play gradient strip light pro — source Signify press kit
What happened: Signify’s Sep 3 IFA press still calendars the Play gradient strip light / strip light pro portfolio for 15 September (from £89.88 / €99.99). Pro adds OmniGlow wall-wash and a 100" SKU; both lines are cuttable. Bridgeless Bluetooth sync with Play Screen Sync or the HDMI sync box 4K stays a one-strip start; Bridge/Bridge Pro unlocks the larger surround set. US product pages still show “Coming soon” this morning — treat tomorrow as the window, not a guaranteed every-SKU drop.
Why it matters: Calendar watch for entertainment lighting, not a new Matter claim — Matter for Hue lighting remains Bridge / third-party hub path as before.
What happened: No newer ship correction over the weekend. Five dual-radio Matter lights (Floor Lamp T1, Downlight T2, Strip T2, outdoor H1 string + permanent) still point at October; prices TBA; Home Assistant remains on Aqara’s Matter platform list.
Why it matters: Still the clearest post-IFA dual-mesh lighting calendar against Hue’s Matter-over-Thread-only new lights.

Tapo Matter cameras — end-of-September window holds
What happened: No TP-Link calendar change since Friday. HW revisions of C560WS, C260, and C660 Kit for Matter camera code still point at end of September; SmartThings-first among major platforms.
Why it matters: Two weeks left on the watch — Matter cameras remain gated by controller support outside SmartThings.
What happened: No newer ThreadLink calendar. Wall Display Matter dual-role (firmware 2.8.0) and Gen4 no-neutral lighting remain the IFA hardware notes; ThreadLink Gen4 still the ~December watch.
