The Briefing
15 September 2026
Ship-day check on Hue’s Play gradient strip pro: Signify’s calendar says today, US and UK product pages still say Coming soon. Elsewhere, IKEA’s Matter-over-Thread cabinet driver is on European shelves, and Z-Wave JS UI tips to 11.24.1.

Hue Play gradient strip pro — Sep 15 window opens; storefronts still Coming soon
Philips Hue Play gradient strip light pro — source Signify press kit
What happened: Signify’s 3 Sep IFA press still calendars the Play gradient strip light / strip light pro portfolio as available from 15 September (from €99.99). This morning, primary Hue storefronts have not flipped: the US pro 100" page ($229.99) and the UK pro 65" page (£139.99) both still show Coming soon. Pro keeps OmniGlow wall-wash and cut-to-fit mounting; Matter for Hue lighting remains via Bridge / third-party hub as before.
What happened: IKEA’s DUBBELKISEL 30 W smart LED driver (article 50609444) is live on European product pages as a Matter-compatible replacement path for the older Zigbee TRÅDFRI wireless driver. Official copy: Matter over Thread, needs a Thread Border Router (DIRIGERA cited as an example), up to 8 lighting units under 30 W total, up to 10 drivers per installation. Germany lists €22.00. Reporting yesterday (14 Sep) put NL/DE among early sale markets; US/UK timing still unannounced.
What happened: Today (15 Sep, 11:01 UTC) zwave-js-ui tagged v11.24.1. The release notes are a single feature line: bump @zwave-js/server to 3.10.2 (that server cut landed the same morning and includes refusing new clients while the driver is not ready, plus a fix that captures removed-node state before queueing events). Driver remains on node-zwave-js 15.29.0 (10 Sep).
Why it matters: Small UI/server tip — take it if you already run 11.24.0 and want the server hardening.
What happened: No newer ship correction. Five dual-radio Matter lights (Floor Lamp T1, Downlight T2, Strip T2, outdoor H1 string + permanent) still point at October per the IFA press; Home Assistant remains on Aqara’s Matter platform list.
Tapo Matter cameras — end-of-September window holds
What happened: No TP-Link calendar change overnight. HW revisions of C560WS, C260, and C660 Kit for Matter camera code still point at end of September.
What happened: No newer ThreadLink calendar. Wall Display Matter dual-role and Gen4 no-neutral lighting remain the IFA hardware notes; ThreadLink Gen4 still the ~December watch.
