Home Assistant OS 18.3 — docker reset-storage, Yellow Bluetooth, RPi fixes
What happened: Tag 18.3 published 2026-09-17T15:52:18Z (author sairon) — a maintenance OS release that did not make Friday’s Core 2026.9.3 brief. Standouts from the GitHub notes:

New ha docker reset-storage schedules a full Docker storage wipe on next reboot; Supervisor / Core / plugins / apps re-download; config and data outside Docker stay
Home Assistant Yellow: hardware flow control on mini UART restores Bluetooth after the 18.0 regression
Raspberry Pi: HDMI above 1920×1080 and USB-SSD boot on Pi 3 fixed; F2FS enabled on all targets
Setup landing page now defaults to port 80 (legacy 8123 redirects); NTP config moved to timesyncd drop-ins with ha time CLI
Why it matters: Power-cut image corruption and Yellow BLE flakiness are real ops pain. Reset-storage is the supported recovery path — needs internet and a reboot. Community threads over the weekend already report 18.3 update failures when release-asset downloads are filtered.
What happened: No 2026.9.4 (or 2026.10 beta) on the releases list over the weekend. Latest stable remains Friday’s 2026.9.3 — Matter Shelly tilt-null covers, EnergyZero price regression, Bond zeroconf host keep, supervisor.tar encrypt/decrypt in backup rewrites.
What happened: Latest stable tag remains 2026.9.0 (16 Sep). No 2026.9.1. Noise encrypted OTA and parallelized PlatformIO installs still define the upgrade checklist.

What happened: No new Aqara calendar over the weekend. FP400 remains on sale worldwide after the 16 Sep availability push. Matter caveat unchanged — third-party Thread joins expose overall presence + illuminance; do not assume full zone export.
Tapo Matter cameras — end-of-September window still open
What happened: No new TP-Link calendar confirmation over the weekend. HW revisions of C560WS, C260, and C660 Kit for Matter camera code still framed as end of September — a window, not a lock.
What happened: No newer ThreadLink calendar over the weekend. Gen4 ThreadLink remains the ~December watch from prior IFA framing. Friday’s Core Matter cover fix for Shelly tilt-null still the near-term software note.
