Aqara lighting: Thread + Zigbee, Matter-ready, October
Five new indoor/outdoor lights, every one dual-radio Thread and Zigbee and Matter-enabled. Maison et Domotique’s Sep 10 floor report puts ship in October; prices still TBA. Home Assistant is on Aqara’s Matter platform list.
Thread mode is the Matter-over-Thread on-ramp across Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings, Homey, and Home Assistant. Zigbee mode keeps deeper Aqara Home automations via an Aqara hub. Lineup: Floor Lamp T1, LED Downlight T2, LED Strip T2, Outdoor String Lights H1, Permanent Outdoor Lights H1.
Hue still owns yesterday’s “every new light is Matter over Thread” headline. Aqara’s counter is dual-mesh lighting with a named month. Official press Sep 4; October availability from the Sep 10 Maison report.
